I Hate English Class - The Song

 I  Hate English

My English class is so boring,

I have it every Monday at five,

My teacher caught me snoring, (roncar)

I swear his class gives me hives. (urticaria)

I study it at home and have classes at school,

My parents make me do it, I think it’s just cruel.

It’s for my own good, at least that’s what they say.

I suffer through English class, but I just want to play.

Why oh why do I have to learn English?

I started when I was five and I’ll never finish.

On my death bed I’ll be studying the simple past tense,

I study every day, but it never makes sense.

My class is worse than prison, so I wrote this song.

My parents are punishing me, but I did nothing wrong.

I’m digging a tunnel to escape, I need to be free.

I don’t like to speak it, I sound like a monkey.

Why do I need to learn “To be or not to be?”

Odio el inglés

Mi clase de inglés es muy aburrida,

Tengo que ir todos los lunes a las cinco,

Mi profesor me pilló roncando,

Juro que su clase me da urticaria.

Estudio en casa y tengo clases en el colegio,

Mis padres me obligan a hacerlo,

 By William Shakespeare

(from Hamlet, spoken by Hamlet)

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:

My Five-Star School Cafeteria

The cafeteria (comedor) at Colegio de Luis de Santángel is a five star restaurant. The food is very healthy. They never have junk food in the cafeteria, things like candy or donuts. They always serve vegetables and fruit

People from Valencia have to make reservations and pay a lot of money to eat in the cafeteria. When you arrive, you have to wait in a long line before you get a table. When they arrive at the cafeteria, they have to talk to the man at the reservation desk.

The man at the desk stops the people at the door to the cafeteria.

"Excuse me, do you have a reservation?" he asks them.

If they don't have a reservation, he tells them that there are no tables available in the cafeteria. If they have a reservation, they have to wait, and wait, and wait.

If you go to that school, you don’t need to make a reservation. You can eat there every day and you don’t have to wait in a long line.

The chefs in the kitchen work hard to make good food for all of the students. The kids are very hungry, and they need good food. School is difficult, especially physical education (P.E.).

The kids in the school go to the cafeteria at two o’clock to have lunch on school days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday).

“I am very hungry. I hope we have something good for lunch today,” one student says.

"We always have good food for lunch; this is a five-star cafeteria," her friend says.

She points to the menu board.

"That sounds great. I love spaghetti, and peaches are my favorite fruit."

"I wish that I could eat here on Saturday and Sunday," the girl says. "Why is the cafeteria closed on the weekend?"

"I don't know," her friend says. "It's sad that the cafeteria is closed on the weekend."
