Padre No Hay más que Uno

The family in this movie is very big. There are five children: four girls and one boy. All of the kids are crazy. 

 The mother is very busy with the children. She does all of the work at home. She works very hard. The father has a job, but he doesn’t help at home. He doesn’t take care of the children (He doesn't look after the children).

The mother and father go to a restaurant to celebrate their anniversary. They have been together for 15 years. They have been married for 15 years. The mother wants to go on vacation with the father, her husband. He says that he can’t go because he has a lot of work to do, he is too busy. The husband tells his wife to go on vacation without him. He will take care of the five children.

The mother leaves the family to go on vacation with the children’s aunt.

The father has to pick up the children at school. When the father goes to pick up Paula at her classroom, the teacher doesn’t know him. He never goes to the school. The teacher doesn’t want to let him take Paula.

“Who are you?” the teacher asks the father.

She asks the father some questions.

“What is her name?” The teacher asks.

“Paula,” the father answers.

“Paula what?”

“García Loyola.”

"Paulita, is he your father?" the teachers asks.

Paula says that she doesn't know.

After school, he has to take them to all of their activities. He makes a lot of mistakes. He takes Paulita to basketball, but Dani goes to basketball. He takes Dani, picks up Paulita, takes her to the pool, and throws her in the water.

Sara is the oldest child in the family. She is 13 years old. She makes videos on YouTube. She wants to make a video about piercing ears. She uses Paulita in the video. Poor Paulita.


 Carlota is the second oldest. She is very smart. She plays the violin.

 Dani is stupid. He fights at school and he thinks he is a superhero.

Rocío wants to be on the TV program Top Singer Kids, a singing contest. She sings all the time with a microphone. She is very loud. She drives her father crazy. She is not a good singer.

Paulitais the youngest child in the family. She is crazy, but she is very funny. She has a scary doll that looks like a monster. When she doesn't want to eat, the father tells her that he will throw her scary doll out of the window.


The maid tells the father that Paulita has lice (piojos). Then everyone in the family has lice. The father doesn’t tell the mother about this. He keeps it a secret.They have to go a clinic to eliminate the lice from their hair. It is very expensive.

Whales and Elephants

The blue whale is the biggest animal in the world. They are the biggest animals on the planet. Whales live in the oceans. There are five oceans: The Pacific Ocean, The Atlantic Ocean, The Indian Ocean, The Arctic Ocean and The Southern Ocean. Whales swim around the world.

Big in Every Way

Blue whales are the biggest creature (animal) to have lived on earth—they are even bigger than the biggest dinosaurs!

1. Blue whales are the largest animals to ever live on the planet, whales reach maximum lengths of 33.5 meters and weigh 150,000 kilos.

 

2. Blue whales can live for 80 to 90 years on average.

 

3. Blue whales are the loudest animals on the planet capable of making sounds that can be heard by other blue whales up to 1,600 kilometers away. Whale are very noisy.

 

4. Blue whales can eat up to 5,400 kilos of krill (small shrimp -gambas) in a day.

 

5. Blue whales swim 8 kilometers per hour on average but can swim more than 32 kilometers per hour in short distances.

A baby whale is called a calf. A baby cow is also called a calf. One calf, two calves. Other baby mammals are called calves: elephant, camel, bison, elk, giraffe, gnu, hippopotamus, moose, ox, reindeer, rhinoceros, and yak.

Elephants

African elephants are the largest land animals on Earth. They are larger than Asian elephants and have bigger ears than their Asian cousins.

 

Herds (manadas)

Elephants are matriarchal, meaning they live in female-led groups called herds. The matriarch is usually the biggest and oldest. Elephants eat plants. They eat grass and leaves from trees. 
 
A baby elephant, an elephant calf, can weigh 100 kilos. They are big babies. Mother elephants have one baby every four or five years.
